Copa America Preview: In-Form Mexico Ready For Uruguay Clash

Mexico mind to their Copa America Centenario opener against Uruguay on Sunday using the best type of any nation competing within the special-edition tournament.

A late goal from Javier Hernandez gave Mexico single- victory over protecting Copa champions Chile within their final warm-up game for that tournament.

The win extended Mexico’s unbeaten go to an amazing 19 games, while their record under coach Juan Carlos Osorio is simply as impressive.

Since Osorio required over from Miguel Herrera in October, Mexico have won eight games consecutively, without conceding just one goal along the way.

The shape leaves the Central American nation – who’ve finished Copa runners-on two occasions (1993 and 2001) – confident of going completely.

“We arrive [in the tournament] in an exceedingly good moment,” Osorio stated after their make an impression on Chile in North Park, California.

“Using the talent and commitment from the players, combined with strategy and exactly how they’re transporting the plans we’ve made the decision on, Mexico includes a great chance [to win the Copa America].

“This really is football and many things can happen, but hopefully the imagine the Mexican public is identical imagine players. We would like it to take us far.”

But while Mexico have defeated Chile, Paraguay, U . s . States, Jamaica and Panama And Nicaragua , – all competing in the Copa – throughout their unbeaten streak, Uruguay pose an infinitely more struggle.

Brought by coach Oscar Tabarez, Uruguay have re-established themselves among the heavyweights of world football recently, finishing 4th in the 2010 World Cup and winning an archive 15th Copa crown 12 several weeks later.

Despite to be the most effective nation within the tournament’s history, Uruguay defender Alvaro Pereira knows Uruguay should be smart about how exactly they approach Group C alongside Mexico, Venezuela and Jamaica.

“Uruguay doesn’t have obligation to win the Copa, but we certainly need to be responsible,” the Getafe defender stated in front of the clash in Glendale, Arizona.

“There exists a wealthy background and you want to keep writing it game by game.

“But we all know it will likely be hard and strange due to the added CONCACAF teams, along with the large distance between stadiums.”

  1. Hey HiRez,
Great that you are working on a new shooter, but where is Global Agenda 2? You were supposed to be working on it but seem to have either been funneling money from that into Smite and apparently this new game too. I hate to see this because You have a lot of potential as a studio, but you keep shooting your selves in the foot by launching new games and abandoning the games you had previously been supporting.
As far as I know Tribes Ascend was still doing well before you dropped it completely and focused all of your time and money on Smite, now you have money from that and you were going to create a sequel to fi1t project (albeit one without a PVE aspect like the fi1t one) and we haven&1quo;t seen even a scree1hot from that project since you fi1t announced it yea1 ago, did you ditch it and turn it into this new game? It would be nice to know for fance of GA who were looking forward to what you were going to do with that franchise.
Follow up question, are you even trying anymore?
