OMNISPORT

Getafe goalie Vicente Guaita has recognized that Atletico Madrid have been in “another league” when it comes to ability because they prepare to help make the short trip over the Spanish capital for Tuesday’s La Liga clash.

Fran Escriba’s side clinched their first points of year on Friday, as Stefan Scepovic’s goal within the second minute settled a good affair in your own home to Malaga, with defeats to both Sports Bilbao, Granada and Espanyol preceding that win.

But Atletico, who spent roughly €130million throughout the close-season, have enjoyed an even more impressive start, having a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona the only real blemish following victories over Las Palmas, Sevilla and Eibar.

And Guaita acknowledged that somewhat Getafe, who have been limited to loans and free deals with the transfer window, live a totally contrasting existence when compared with their illustrious neighbours.

“On Tuesday we all know possess a difficult game,” the previous Valencia goalie stated.

“Atletico have been in another league – they’ll be favourites. You want to obtain the three points from Calderon. It will likely be difficult, although not impossible.”

Scepovic added: ”We are all aware how it is enjoy playing within the Vicente Calderon stadium and it is essential for us to become going there having a victory under our belts.”

The recent past provides little reason behind Getafe optimism, with Atletico dominating their conferences during the last couple of years.

A 3- win in the Vicente Calderon in May 2010 along with a 3-2 home victory in November of the year after stick out for that Coliseum Alfonso Perez outfit, but Atletico haven’t had an excessive amount of trouble since.

Their last five contests in the Calderon in most competitions are gone for good in Atletico wins, having a 7- thrashing in November 2013 the most known, and Diego Simeone is going to be expecting running to resume in midweek.

One issue facing Simeone continues to be the perceived slow starts for Jackson Martinez and Luciano Vietto in Atletico jerseys, although the coach was bemused by such suggestions.

“There is nothing missing,” he stated. “They [Martinez and Vietto] will work perfectly and we’re a group by which folks are in the service from the whole squad.”

Simeone will need to do without Koke (leg), but can make use of the remainder of his squad, while Emi Buendia, Pablo Sarabia (both knocks) and Roberto Lago (muscular problem) are doubts for Getafe.
